How is Fast-Food Contributing to Allergies, Asthma, Diabetes and Obesity in Children?
“Food allergy affects up to 6% of children and results in an estimated 150-200 fatalities each year in the U.S. ” (http://goo.gl/STuv5)
According to a story written by Maggie Fox, NBC News, “Fast Food Linked to Asthma and Allergies“, there is a substantial amount of evidence now that supports the fact fast food consumption is linked to these diseases. This should not caome as a surprise to anyone. Fast food should be called “fast fatal” (TM). The amount of chemicals added to foods served in fast food establishments known to cause health problems has a cumulative effect. the average individual has become lazier and brain washed into believieng it takes to long to make fresh food at home and it is cheaper to buy the fast food. This cannot be further from the truth.
Let’s take a look at how this is not true. How much does gas cost you per week to go th get fast food and how much does your gas cost you while your car is idling while you wait to get to the fast food window? How much time is spent going to get the fast food and what does that translate into money spent? Now, take that amount of money and calculate going to the store once and buying the ingredients to make your food at home.
Now fast forward, by making your own food at home you can eliminate the ingredients listed below and on the web sites that have been shown to cause health problems that include diabetes and obesity and now asthma and allergies can be added to the list. Eating fast food is eating “fast fatal”. Your body does not get any nutrients from these chemicals. In fact, these chemicals often deplete your body of much needed nutrients and increases acidity which is known to cause cancer.
